Nissan Motor Company has introduced two brand-new limited editions of its famous GT-R, named the Skyline Edition and the T-spec Takumi Edition. The new special editions pay tribute to the iconic GT-R, which has been a high-performance vehicle in the Nissan lineup. These MY2024 special editions are all set to add allure to the famous GT-R series as they come with unique paint options and interior color shades.
The GT-R T-spec Takumi Edition honors the skill of the master Takumi artisans who hand-assemble each of the vehicle's 3.8-liter V6 twin-turbo engine. The Takumi GT-R boasts Midnight Purple paint, setting it apart from the standard model. It features Mori Green paint on the interior, complemented by a red-scripted engine badge and a gold-plated VIN plate.
In comparison to the standard GT-R T-spec model, the new Edition comes equipped with several mechanical upgrades, incorporating NISMO-tuned Vehicle Dynamic Control, GT-R NISMO carbon-ceramic brakes, widened front fenders, and gold-painted RAYS 20-inch forged wheels based on NISMO.

The 2024 GT-R Skyline Edition pays tribute to the Skyline GT-Rs. It features Bayside Blue paint, and the interior comes in a new Sora Blue color scheme, resurrecting a color scheme reminiscent of previous generations. The Bayside Blue color was offered for the R34 Skyline GT-R before being brought back for the 2019 model's 50th anniversary.
As of now, Nissan will offer the T-spec Takumi Edition and Skyline Edition in limited numbers in Japan. The auto giant has not disclosed the pricing details of the 2024 GT-R special editions, nor has it revealed how many units of each edition it will retail. The company is expected to reveal more information when the special editions hit dealerships this summer.
Currently, there are rumors that the company might discontinue the R35-generation Nissan GT-R after the 2025 model year. Fueling these speculations, Nissan unveiled the 2025 model of the Japanese GT-R, which will be available in limited numbers. Amid these rumors, the company rolls out these unique cars, hinting at a possible change in its portfolio.
