Petrol-LPG Hybrid Powertrain Confirmed
As per the spy shots taken during tests, the Renault Duster 4X4 with LPG acts as a mule with the application of 1.2L ECO-G machinery, merging 48V mild-hybrid (MHEV) technology. This development actively integrates gasoline-LPG technology, including power performance and fuel-saving operating balance. It anticipates delivery of around 150 hp power, channeled through a dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Advanced All-Wheel Drive Technology
The Renault Duster 4X4 LPG also features a sophisticated all-wheel drive, with the rear axle being directly driven by a 48V electric motor whenever traction is lost, inspired by Jeep Avenger 4xe to better handle off-road situations.
Design and Testing Insights
The test mule of Renault Duster 4X4 with LPG was spotted with a peculiar exhaust system mounted just ahead of the left rear wheel, which is probably a temporary fit for testing purposes. The production model is expected to be designed with a more refined look to ensure practicality and market standards.
Shared Platform with Renault Bigster
The Renault Duster 4X4 with LPG powertrain spied supposedly shares its underpinnings and rear electric axle with Renault's new SUV, the Bigster. A modular approach makes it scalable and also cost-efficient, especially in SUVs for the Renault lineup.
Future Prospects
The New Renault Duster launch in India is likely to happen officially soon. Meanwhile, the Duster EV will be included in the product portfolio by 2031. This is because Renault has a vision of delivering sustainable mobility solutions to markets across the globe.
