Renault is all set to unveil the new generation Duster SUV on November 29 in Portugal. The images of the much-anticipated Duster have been leaked online ahead of its official debut tomorrow. The images have been taken from a leaked promotional video. The compact SUV is manufactured by Renault’s UK partner, Dacia. Due to stricter emission norms, the company had decided to discontinue this model in the Indian market earlier this year. The compact SUV is likely to make a comeback in its new avatar in the domestic market.

The pictures showcase the exterior design of the new Renault Duster SUV. The front face of the Duster immediately attracts viewers. Renault and Dacia have made some significant changes to the new Duster. The SUV comes with a new grille and bumper, and it looks more rugged than the outgoing model. It gets a new air intake and horizontal LED headlights. The side profile of the new SUV will have more creases and muscles. It will come with a new Y-shaped light cluster that has been added at the rear and a sloping back window, along with a spoiler.

The leaked spy shots do not reveal many interior details of the new-generation Duster. However, the interior of the new SUV is likely to come equipped with a digital instrument console, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, and a redesigned black dashboard, among others.

The Renault Duster is expected to have features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, digital driver display, automatic climate control, wireless connectivity, sunroof, and more. The company is likely to offer the new SUV with both hybrid and petrol powertrains. Renault may include a 1.2-litre petrol-hybrid mill that can churn out 130 hp of power, and it can also add a 1.6-litre fully petrol-hybrid mill that can produce 140 hp. The engines are expected to come with both manual and automatic transmissions.

The Renault Duster was one of the first compact sports utility vehicles to be launched in 2012, and it received significant updates until 2021 before it was discontinued in the Indian market. The French automaker is planning to relaunch this SUV in India by 2025. Once it is launched in the domestic market, it will compete with the likes of the Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, MG Astor, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, the Volkswagen Taigun, and the Skoda Kushaq.
