Royal Enfield Motorcycle will be launching the Meteor 350 on November 6, 2020. It will replace the already discontinued Thunderbird 350 in the Indian market. The bike has been spotted doing test runs on a number of occasions in the past. The brochure of the upcoming cruiser bike has also been revealed ahead of the launch giving us details about the design and features of the motorcycle. Now the company has just released a new video teasing the exhaust sound of the bike ahead of its launch. The video further gives us an idea about the bike’s exhaust note.
The retro-cruiser bike will be offered in a total of three variants - Fireball, Stellar, and Supernova. Talking about the Meteor 350 in detail, it will feature a circular halogen headlamp, LED DRLs, round indicators, LED tail lights, raised handlebars, and forward-set footpegs. It will be the first RE bike to feature Tripper Navigation which is a Bluetooth enabled turn-by-turn GPS system. Elements like semi-digital instrument cluster and TFT display showing information such as service reminder, trip metre details, odometer will come as standard across all variants. Additionally the mid-spec Stellar trim will offer a backrest. While the top-end Supernova trim will provide premium leather seat, a windscreen, and machine-finished alloy wheels.
The upcoming Meteor 350 will be offered in a total of seven colour options namely Fireball Yellow, Fireball Red, Stellar Red metallic, Stellar Black matte, Stellar Blue metallic, Supernova Brown dual-tone, and Supernova Blue dual-tone. Speaking about the powertrain, Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will come equipped with a new 349cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This powerplant will generate 20.2 bhp power and 27 Nm peak torque while being mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine will also cater to a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) and an electronic fuel-injection system.
Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will be based on the new J1D platform that will also underpin future Royal Enfield bikes. It is expected to be priced between Rs 1.60 lakh - Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
