The robust carmaker Skoda is reintroducing the popular Skoda Octavia in September 2025 in India. The new diesel-powered sedan will come in as an import. The brand has not confirmed any fixed launch date yet.\

The Octavia is recognized for its spaciousness and comfortable ride. It’s powered by a 2.0L TDI engine and has updated styling and a premium interior. The new European sedan is expected to be priced at Rs 30-35 lacs (ex-showroom).

Skoda Octavia Diesel Launch Details in India

This Octavia launch is part of Skoda's India 2.0 strategy after it discontinued this model in 2023 due to BS6 Phase 2 norms. The exact launch date remains unknown.

This Octavia will be imported in India as a Complete Built Unit. This car will be the same as the UK model.

The launch date may coincide with the festive season in India. Skoda hasn’t officially specified September but many automobile industry experts expect this timeline based on global rollout and India-specific Diesel Variant announcements.

The new Octavia Diesel could cost around Rs 30-35 lacs (ex-showroom). The previous Octavia diesel ranged from Rs 26-29 lacs. The car could compete with the Toyota Camry and Hyundai Tucson diesel.
