Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) announced that it has achieved the milestone of manufacturing 1 million two-wheelers in India within the financial year 2023-24. In less than a year, the company has utilized the facility’s yearly production capacity. Suzuki showcased a remarkable growth and excellence in FY 2023-2024. SMIPL was first established in February 2006, and since then it has delivered high-quality, innovative, and reliable two-wheelers to riders across India.
The 1 millionth unit to be produced in this fiscal year is the company’s most popular scooter, the Suzuki Access 125. The scooter has been produced at the brand’s Kherki Dhaula manufacturing plant located in Gurugram. The company’s most domestic sales numbers show an upward trend, with 80,511 units sold in January 2024, representing a 20% month-over-month increase.

The Executive Vice President (Production) at Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., Rajneesh Kumar Mehta, expressed his gratitude and said that “Achieving the production of one million units in less than a year is a remarkable accomplishment for Suzuki Motorcycle India. In order to keep up with the consistently increasing demand for Suzuki Two-Wheelers both from the domestic market and our overseas markets, we have gone beyond our original installed capacity of 1 Million Units per year.”
Suzuki Vice President Mehta further said that the company managed to achieve this milestone due to the ingenuity and dedication displayed by the engineers and workforce in operating Suzuki’s facility at high capacity while at the same time enhancing the delivery capacity. He expressed his gratitude towards all suppliers and employees who made collective efforts to achieve this milestone.
The Executive Officer (Production) at Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Yasuyuki Ikeuchi, said, “This milestone underscores our unwavering commitment to meet our customer expectations not only in terms of demand but also in terms of quality standards that are associated with Brand Suzuki. Suzuki’'s new achievement of manufacturing 1 million two-wheelers in the nation reflects the company’s constant efforts to secure its position as a leader in the two-wheeler segment. In the Indian market, the company’s portfolio includes three scooters: the Avenis, Access 125, and two variants of the Burgman Street 125. Suzuki sells several motorcycles in the domestic market: the Gixxer SF250, V-Strom SX, Gixxer 250, Gixxer, and Gixxer SF. The brand’s big bike lineup includes two models: the Hayabusa and the Katana.
