Tata Motors, one of India’s largest car manufacturers, has recently updated its most popular offering, the Tata Nexon, with two bigger sunroof options. The brand recently launched the CNG and electric versions of the Nexon in the Indian market. The Nexon electric SUV comes equipped with a bigger battery pack. Now, the company has updated the Tata Nexon with two larger sunroofs as standard.
Notably, Tata Motors is only offering the panoramic sunroof options only in the Nexon top-spec Fearless + PS trim, while other variants like Smart + S and Creative + S are being offered with the smaller single-pane sunroof. The Tata Nexon SUV is available at an introductory price of INR 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Nexon Specifications
After the addition of the sunroof, the Tata Nexon has become one of the most feature-packed automobiles in the SUV segment. The updated Tata Nexon comes equipped with a range of advanced amenities, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, and cruise control.
On the safety front, the new Nexon houses six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a 360-degree camera. In the Indian SUV segment, the Nexon rivals the likes of the Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Renault Kiger.
In the SUV segment, the Tata Nexon is the only model to come equipped with all three ICE fuel options: diesel, CNG, and petrol. It draws power from a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol CNG, and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol powertrain churns out a power of 120 bhp and torque of 170 Nm, while the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol equipped in the Nexon CNG generates power of 100 bhp and torque of 170 Nm. On the contrary, the 1.5-litre diesel version is tuned to produce 115 bhp of power and 260 Nm of torque.
