Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has increased the prices of chosen models in its range of products at the beginning of 2024. Toyota’s famous MPV, the Innova Hycross, has now become dearer by up to INR 42,000. The manufacturer has ensured that the GX trim gets the lowest price hike because Innova is a popular choice among taxi operators in India, and these fleets mostly opt for the base G trim (commercial). Toyota has increased the price of the base Innova Hycross GX variant by INR 10,000. Other Hycross variants and the Urban Cruiser Hyryder have become more expensive by INR 42,000. The newly revised costs are applicable with immediate effect.

The revised prices are not surprising for anyone, as several manufacturers announced a price surge in the months of November and December. As the new year has begun, manufacturers are revealing the quantum of the hike. The Toyota Innova Hycross will now come at an initial price of INR 19.77 lakh (ex-showroom), and for the top-spec hybrid model, it goes up to INR 30.68 lakh (ex-showroom).

Toyota offers the Innova Hycross MPV in five variants: ZX, VX, GX, VX (O), and ZX (O). The manufacturer is offering the lower variants of the Hycross in seven- or either-seater configurations. The top-spec ZX, on the other hand, comes only as a seven-seater. The automaker has removed the GX limited edition variant from its lineup. The GX was introduced in the latter half of 2023.

The Innova Hycross has two engine options: petrol and a petrol-hybrid engine. The 2.0-litre strong hybrid engine produces 181 bhp, and it is mated to an e-Drive transmission. The naturally aspirated 2.0-litre petrol churns out 170 bhp and a peak torque of 205 Nm. It comes mated to a CVT gearbox. Toyota rates the hybrid engine's fuel efficiency at 23.24 km/l and the pure petrol at 16.13 km/l.
