Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the special edition models of Scrambler 900 and Scrambler 1200 in the country. Being termed as 'Street Scrambler 900 Sandstorm' and 'Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition', they are priced at Rs 9.65 Lakhs and Rs 13.75 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom), respectively, in the Indian market. The former is limited to 775 units globally while the latter will also be available in a limited number of 1000 units worldwide. Earlier this year, the British brand had also launched the Street Twin Gold line special edition in India.
Starting with Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition, it is based on the new-generation 2021 Scrambler 1200 XE while flaunting a unique Steve McQueen branding on the tank and handlebar clamp. It is presented in an exclusive Competition Green custom paint scheme. The company is offering premium Scrambler accessories as standard with this limited edition bike. The Steve McQueen Edition boasts of a brown bench seat with stitched ribbing and Triumph branding while it is pre-enabled for the accessory My Triumph connectivity system. The Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition is powered by a 1200cc engine which returns 89bhp at 7250rpm and 110Nm at 4500rpm while linked to a 6-speed gearbox with multi-plate assist clutch. The bike delivers a mileage of approx 22kmpl.
Coming to Triumph Street Scrambler 900 Sandstorm, it takes inspiration from the latest-gen 2021 Street Scrambler with a host of premium accessories fitted as standard. The limited edition model has been offered in a unique Sandstorm Edition paint scheme with Matt Storm Grey and Ironstone accents on the tank in a unique new tri-tone style, plus a Matt Storm Grey factory-fitted high-level front mudguard. It also gets premium genuine Triumph accessories fitted as standard. The Street Scrambler 900 Sandstorm Edition draws power from a 900cc liquid cooled petrol engine which develops top power of 64.1bhp at 7250rpm and peak torque of 80Nm at 3250rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed transmission with a wet multi-plate torque assist clutch.
