TVS Motor Company has been updating its entire scooter line-up to meet the BS6 Emission Norms. Recently, the company launched the BS6 version of Zest 110 at Rs 58,640 (ex-showroom). When compared, the model is Rs 6,000 costlier than its BS4 counterpart. Further, the scooter is available in two variants namely Himalayan High Series & Matte. The BS6 TVS Scooty Zest 110 is offered in six color options namely Red, Blue, Purple, Black, Yellow, and Turquoise Blue.
In terms of design, the BS6 version of the 110cc scooter has retained most of the features from its out going model. The front fascia of the two-wheeler flaunts a halogen headlamp with LED DRLS mounted on the sleek front apron while the rear end stands to provide a LED tail-light. Other highlighted features include an analog instrument console, silver-colored grab rail, tubeless tyres, and an under-seat USB charging port. The scooter also offers segment-leading boot capacity of 19 litres.
Under the frame, TVS Zest 110 BS6 draws power from the same 110cc engine that was found in its BS4 version.The engine in particular produces a maximum power output of 7.8 bhp and a peak torque of 8.8 Nm. This powertrain comes equipped with ET-Fi (Ecothrust Fuel Injection) Technology just like the one present on the BS6 TVS Jupiter Classic. As compared to its BS4 iteration, the new Zest 110 comes with a slight increase in torque while the power figures remain identical. In regards to the suspension, there are telescopic forks up front with a hydraulic mono-shock unit towards the rear. As for braking, the BS6 Zest 110 comes equipped with a 110 mm drum brake in the front and a 130 mm drum brake towards the rear. The model also gets a synchronized braking system for improved efficiency on the road.
