Yamaha Motor India has launched the new FZ-X Chrome variant in India. The automaker has added a new color option to the FZ-X motorcycle. The bike is available at a price of INR 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it INR 3,500 more expensive than the Matte Copper shade. The new bike is INR 2,500 more expensive than the Dark Matte Blue and Matte Titan-colored trims. Interestingly, the two-wheeler giant has also announced that the first 100 buyers of the bike will get complimentary Casio G-Shock watches during delivery of the bike.

The new variant comes with a different visual treatment, which costs a premium of INR 1,500 over the Dark Matte Blue variant. The new chrome paint extends to many parts of the bike, including the circular headlamp bezel and fuel tank. The wheels equipped with the Yamaha FZ-X are also covered in gold. The rest of the bike stays identical to other trims and is finished in black and brush aluminum. Interestingly, chrome colors are mostly offered on classic motorcycles, and they come at a price of INR 2 lakh.

In terms of design, the Yamaha FZ-X takes inspiration from the XSR 155. It features a round headlamp, a chunky one-piece seat with a ribbed pattern, and a bulbous fuel tank. The new FZ-X Chrome variant comes loaded with features like a single-channel ABS, full-LED lighting, Bluetooth-enabled digital console, traction control system, and a side-stand engine cut-off switch.

The new FZ-X bike is powered by a 149-cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 12.2 bhp of power at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The unit is paired with a five-speed gearbox. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels. Suspension duties are done by telescopic forks up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock. While the braking system is handled by a disc fixed at both ends. The motorcycle measures 139kg (kerb) in weight, and it comes with a fuel tank capacity of 10 litres.
