The 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 9.31 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the Indian market. The new sedan has already reached dealerships while the bookings had already commenced at a token amount of Rs 25,000 across the nation. It has been introduced in five trim levels - S, S+, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Turbo - with a total of 11 variants across petrol and diesel fuel trims. Hyundai Verna is challenged by the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Vento in India.
The 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift comes with fresh front fascia with LED headlamps, cascading grille with darkened chrome surroundings and revamped fog lamps. It also has a tweaked bumper with redesigned air intake which has been positioned a tad lower. The side profile rides on newly-designed 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels while the rear end boasts of a revised LED tail-lamp cluster. The inclusion of a new bumper with faux diffuser and full-width chrome trim sum up the exterior updates. The 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift is offered in six exterior color options: Titan Grey, Fiery Red, Starry Night, Phantom Black, Polar White and Typhoon Silver. The turbo trim takes the sportiness quotient even higher with the inclusion of grey-colored 16-inch alloy wheels, twin-tip exhaust outlet and gloss black finish at the front grille.
The cabin too has been updated significantly with new AC vents and a new digital instrument cluster which consists of a 4.2-inch multi-information display, tachometer and speedometer. The main highlight of the new sedan is a slimmer control panel with an 8-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system which is integrated with a Blue Link connectivity suite with 45+ features. The Turbo trim gets finished in an exclusive all-black upholstery with red accents and paddle shifters are also a part of the standard fitment. Mechanically, the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift is offered with a total of three new BS6 compliant engines. It borrows the twin 113bhp 1.5L petrol and diesel engines alongside the 118bhp 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine.
