Audi India has launched the S5 Sportback at Rs 79.06 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country. The new iteration comes with minor changes to the exterior and interior. It will rival the likes of the recently launched BMW M340i and Mercedes AMG C43.
In comparison to its predecessor, the new S5 Sportback facelift features new matrix LED headlights with LED DRLs, a new front bumper, and a revised single-frame front grille. On the sides, it gets 19-inch alloy wheels. The rear end boasts of new tail-lamps along with a revised bumper.
Moving inside the cabin of the 2021 S5 Sportback, it retains the overall layout and dashboard design. However, it does come with subtle updates. The 2021 Audi S5 Sportback features a new 10.1-inch touchscreen unit with voice commands instead of the old rotary-controlled MMI display. Furthermore, it also gets the updated version of the Audi's 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster. The cabin boasts of Alcantara leather upholstery. Other feature highlights include powered front sport seats, flat-bottom steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, 3-zone climate control, and ambient lighting. The four-door coupe gets a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, a heads-up display, and a parking assist system as an option.
Under the hood, the new S5 Sportback is powered by the same 3.0-litre, turbocharged V6 petrol engine that churns out 354 bhp power and 500 Nm peak torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The four-door coupe also gets a Quattro AWD system with a self-locking centre differential. One can also opt for the new Sports suspension with damper control which is being offered with the new model as an option.
