Audi has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the A6 e-tron, which is now revealed in both Avant and Sportback versions. The PPE (Premium Platform Electric) architecture serves as the manufacturing platform for the new A6 e-tron models. This is the second Audi model to take inspiration from the PPE architecture. The platform was developed by both Audi and Porsche and will be utilized to manufacture a range of VW Group cars in the forthcoming years.
The Audi A6 e-tron Sportback and Avant guises also retain features from the Q6 e-tron SUV that was unveiled in March 2024. The new A6 e-tron features a modern look, which is further highlighted by split headlamps with sleeker upper LED DRLs. At the front, the A6 e-tron sports a shiny black finish with a contrasted trapezoidal grille. The 2024 A6 e-tron has a sleek side profile and features second-generation OLED taillights. On the tailgate, it features an illuminated Audi logo. In terms of dimensions, the car measures 4,928 mm in length, 1,527 mm in height, and 1,923 mm in width.

Inside the cabin, the Audi A6 e-tron comes equipped with a curved display with a 14.5-inch central infotainment screen and an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster. For the front passenger, the new model gets an optional 10.9-inch screen. The A6 e-tron also features a head-up display with an AI-supported Audi assistant and augmented reality. In place of traditional buttons, the car’s steering wheel has touch surfaces, and the driver’s door pad now features a control panel for the seat, mirror, and light settings management. Other features incorporate an ADAS suite, a powered tailgate, a 20-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system, a panoramic glass roof, and a 360-degree camera.
In international markets, the Audi A6 e-tron comes in three variants: a base RWD, a top-spec Quattro AWD, and a Performance RWD. The top-spec Quattro AWD variants come equipped with an asynchronous motor up front that churns out power of 188 bhp and peak torque of 275 Nm. It also features a permanent magnet synchronous motor at the rear that churns out a power of 375 bhp and a peak torque of 580 Nm. Audi is offering the latest Audi A6 with two battery options: an 83kWh battery, which is equipped in the base RWD variant, and a 100kWh battery setup for other A6 variants. The A6 e-tron has charging ports on both sides, and it also gets adaptive air suspension as an OP.
