The auto giant first unveiled the Cayenne back in 2003. The car quickly managed to attract several car enthusiasts across the world. The Cayenne GTS variants provide a more traditional performance with the help of robust powertrains. Although this model utilizes Turbo GT parts, it continues to carry forward its own stylish and unique appearance. The new-generation Cayenne GTS will be available in both coupe and SUV body styles. The updated Porsche Cayenne GTS is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. The motor is tuned to produce 40 bhp of power and 40 Nm of peak torque. The engine’s peak output is now measured at a power of 493 bhp and a peak torque of 660 Nm. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, which has now been updated with revisions for quicker shift times, mainly in Sport Plus and Sport drive modes.
The Cayenne’s suspension system also gets an upgrade for the new model in the form of adaptive air suspension, featuring the company’s Active Suspension Management and Torque Vectoring Plus as standard. For enhanced handling and agility, the SUV also gets a new axle pivot bearing for suspension at the front, which is borrowed from the Cayenne Turbo GT. Porsche claims that to help stabilize continuous load capacity in situations like racing on a track, the GTS also receives an updated transfer box for the all-wheel drive system that includes a water-cooling circuit that is retained from the Turbo GT. There are unique black GTS emblems integrated on the liftgate and the front doors of the car.
The Cayenne GTS receives a few cosmetic updates, including shiny black finishes on certain parts, including the wheel arch extensions, front inlays, side skirts, and side window trims. Once painted black, the sports exhaust now features a dark bronze finish. The GTS rolls on new grey-colored 21-inch RS Spyder alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, as standard, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne GTS houses the brand’s Driver Experience digital instrument cluster and a panoramic glass roof. It also gets a third co-driver display as an option.
