Power hybrid performance

This full hybrid model is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder producing 222bhp and mated to an eCVT to power the front wheels.  While the all-wheel-drive approach is globally available, it is unlikely to be localized. With the current Camry offering 19 km/l, the latest model is expected to increase fuel efficiency further.

Adversarial and market position

The Camry faces competition from the upcoming Skoda Superb and BYD Seal EV in the sedan segment, alongside SUV rivals like the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq, Hyundai Tucson and will also take on electric rivals like the Hyundai Ionic 5.

Toyota’s mix of luxury, technology and hybrid efficiency positions the new Camry as a strong contender in the Indian luxury car market.
