The German two-wheeler manufacturer BMW Motorrad has finally unveiled the highly anticipated 2025 BMW R 1300 R in global markets. The rear-focused bike BMW R 1300 R is built around the company’s famous boxer powertrain, following BMW’s aggressive manufacturing strategy. The two-wheeler giant is expected to roll out the R 1300 R in India later this year.

When it comes to design, the BMW R 1300 R sports an aggressive style, and its base trim is offered in an appealing Snapper Rocks metallic shade. The BMW R 1300 R Performance variant is being offered in a Lightweight Uni color, while the Exclusive version can be had in a Racing Blue metallic color scheme.

2025 BMW R 1300 R Features

The 2025 BMW R 1300 R features a new headlamp design, a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, three ride modes (Eco, Rain, and Road), and an additional Dynamic Pro mode for sportier power delivery. The bike receives a new chassis made up of a sheet metal main frame offering better stiffness compared to the previous version. Its rear subframe boasts cast aluminum.

The new Streetfighter bike is packed with amenities like cornering traction control, engine braking control, cornering ABS as standard, front collision warning, active cruise control, and more. Users now have the freedom to adjust suspension electronically with the help of the latest Dynamic ESA system.

2025 BMW R 1300 R Engine

On the powertrain front, the rear-focused bike BMW R 1300 R draws power from a 1,300cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine that is tuned to generate power of 145 bhp at 7,750 rpm and peak torque of 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a quickshifter and six-speed gearbox as standard. BMW is also offering the Automated Shift Assist system as an option.

Compared to the 2024 BMW R 1300 R model, the new model is 1.4kg lighter, and it glides on 17-inch wheels. Braking duties are done by dual discs at the front, and at the rear, there’s a single disc. For suspension duties, the motorcycle has received a 47mm USD fork at the front, and at the rear, it gets an updated Paralever EVO.
