Powering the Freedom CNG is a 125-cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine can generate power of 9.3 bhp and peak torque of 9.7 Nm. The motorcycle comes equipped with a 2 kg CNG tank and a 2-litre fuel tank, placed below the rider’s seat. It also gets a trellis frame for the protection of the CNG cylinder.
On the feature front, the motorcycle has received the same amenities as the Bajaj Freedom 125. These include an LED headlight, a digital instrument console with phone connectivity, a disc or drum brake option, a monoshock at the rear, and telescopic forks. In its segment, the Bajaj Freedom CNG bike rivals the likes of the Honda Shine 125, the Hero Splendor 125, and other commuter bikes that feature a 125-cc engine.
