Two months earlier, Hero MotoCorp launched the HF Deluxe with spoke wheels, making it the most affordable bike in their portfolio. Two more variants - Kick-Start + DrumBrake + Spoke Wheel- Fi and Kick-Start + DrumBrake + Alloy Wheel- Fi were recently added taking the total number of trims to five. These two variants were launched at an introductory price of Rs 46,800 for the Kick-Start + DrumBrake + Spoke Wheel-Fi while the Kick-Start + DrumBrake + Alloy Wheel- Fi trim costs Rs 46,700 respectively (all prices metioned here are ex-showroom), India. Now, the company has given the model a price increase of Rs 1200. It is sold in 5 different colour options - Techno Blue, Heavy Grey with Green, Heavy Grey with Black, Black with Purple and Black with Red.
This price hike can be attributed to the rise in the cost of components due to COVID-19 Pandemic which has hit the supply chain hard. Despite the price increase, Hero HF Deluxe is the most affordable bike in Hero’s product portfolio. The manufacturer has not added any new features to the motorcycle at the time of this price revision.
Talking about the performance, Hero HF Deluxe derives power from a BS6 compliant 7.2cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine. The updated engine delivers 7.94 bhp of maximum power and 8.34 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox. The manufacturer claims a fuel efficiency of 73 kmpl for the HF Deluxe. The motorcycle's Kickstart models weigh 190 kgs while the Electric Start version comes in at 112 kgs. Its fuel tank capacity stands at 9.6-litres. Hero has equipped the bike with telescopic hydraulic shock absorber in the front and dual shock absorber towards the rear. Braking duties are taken care by 130 mm drums both in the front as well as the rear.
Hero HF Deluxe competes against the like of Bajaj CT100 and Honda CD 110 Dream in its segment.
