CG Motors is planning to set up over 100 sales and service facilities in Nepal in the next three months.

The two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has teamed up with its local distributor, CG Motors, to open an assembly unit in Nepal. The company will manufacture four motorcycles in the region. The plant will have a yearly manufacturing capacity of 75,000 units. The brand said in a statement that the new facility will create employment opportunities and bring more investments to Nepal. Hero MotoCorp commenced retailing its motorcycles in Nepal in 2014, and establishing a new assembly facility marks a significant step in the company's global expansion strategy.

At the new assembly facility, Hero MotoCorp will assemble models like Super Splendor, Xpulse 200 4V, Xoom 110, and Splendor. The brand had previously launched these models in India. These bikes will be manufactured locally at the latest facility, which is in CG Industrial Park in Nawalparasi.

Commenting on the inauguration of the assembly facility in Nepal, the Chief Business Officer (Global Business Unit) at Hero MotoCorp, Sanjay Bhan, stated, "This is an exciting development for us, CG Motors and for Nepal. The state-of-the-art assembly unit will ensure that our world-class products will now be made in Nepal and available to customers across the country. The rapid expansion of the sales and service network will enable us to entrench the market with our world-class products and services."

Hero MotoCorp also said that to meet the increasing demand for Hero scooters and motorcycles, CG Motors, a division of the Chaudhary Group, will expand its sales and servicing network throughout Nepal. Interestingly, the Chaudhary Group is a prominent business group in the region, with a network of 160 companies and 123 brands globally. CG Motors is planning to set up over 100 sales and service facilities in the next three months. The local distributor has already opened a flagship showroom in Kathmandu.

The Managing Director of Chaudhary Group, Nirvana Chaudhary, stated, "Hero MotoCorp's world-class expertise in manufacturing and business processes will be highly beneficial for us to scale up operations. We look forward to building a robust market presence across the country."
