Honda has announced a voluntary recall for its adventure motorcycle, the Transalp XL750, in Europe. The recall applies to all models that were manufactured between January 24, 2023, and December 1, 2023. The auto giant has issued a recall to fix the faulty main stand integrated into the middleweight adventure bike. The main stand is included in the Transalp official accessories catalog, and the problem stems from the unit's central spring.
The company has notified its customers that the central spring located on the main stand could fail if the main stand is raised or if it is in a lowered position. This is because there was not enough welding, which allowed it to break easily. This can cause the main stand to drag on the ground when riding or the Transalp to topple over while parked. Honda has not shared the complete number of affected units. As of now, the recall has only been issued in Europe. Over the next 14 days, Honda Germany will contact its customers affected by the recall and will fix the defective part for free.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) sells the adventure bike in India through its Big Wing Topline dealerships. In the country, the motorcycle has been retailed only in limited numbers since its debut in October last year.
The Honda Transalp is powered by a 755-cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. The unit churns out a power output of 91 bhp at 9,500 rpm and a peak torque of 75 Nm at 7,250 rpm. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox, and it features a slip-and-assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter. The motorcycle features a diamond steel frame that is suspended by USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the back, both sourced from Showa.
