The leading SUV manufacturer, Mahindra, is all set to launch the Thar Roxx SUV in the Indian market on Independence Day 2024. The automaker has released a new teaser of the upcoming model ahead of its official price announcement. The new teaser provides a glimpse of many key details, including the Thar Roxx SUV’s interior and feature list.
The teaser video reveals that the upcoming five-door Thar will come with advanced features like a fully digital instrument display and a larger touchscreen infotainment screen. Both of these amenities have been retained from the company’s flagship XUV700 SUV. The top-spec variant of the Thar Roxx will be loaded with a panoramic sunroof and a Harman Kardon-sourced music system, and on the dashboard, the car will get a soft-touch finish with contrasting stitching.

Additionally, the Mahindra Thar Roxx will feature white seat upholstery in place of the black-colored seat upholstery that is integrated into the current version. Other features include a powered driver seat, a wireless charger, ventilated leatherette seats, a 360-degree surround camera, automatic climate control, and an auto-dimming IRVM. The Thar Roxx will house an autonomous emergency braking system, hinting at the integration of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) into the SUV.
This is not the first time Mahindra has released a teaser video for the Thar Roxx SUV. Previously, the auto giant released a few teasers showcasing the SUV’s exterior design. The upcoming Thar Roxx will come equipped with round LED headlamps that feature C-shaped DRLs. Additionally, it is going to get a new grille, an angled C-pillar, and old-fashioned mirrors.
Under the hood, the Mahindra Thar Roxx is likely to come with two engine options: a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine. The former churns out a power of 174 bhp, whereas the latter generates 201 bhp. The upcoming SUV is also likely to feature a rear-wheel-drive configuration to make it affordable for customers. It already features a four-wheel-drive format.
