The luxury automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has launched the Maybach EQS 680 all-electric SUV in the Indian market. Mercedes' new pure-electric luxury SUV, the EQS 680, was unveiled for the first time in global markets in April last year. Notably, this is the first time the automaker has introduced an electric Maybach to the domestic market.
Based on the outgoing EQS model, the new Maybach is available at an ex-showroom price of INR 2.25 crore. The EQS 680 electric SUV has several drive modes, including Sport, Offroad, Eco, and Individual.

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 comes equipped with elements like the signature Maybach grille, connected LED headlights and tail lamps, forged 21-inch alloy wheels, and flush-type door handles. The SUV features a ‘Maybach’ badge on the C-pillars, and on the bumper, it receives a prominent chrome treatment for a premium look.

Inside, the Maybach EQS SUV features a 15-speaker Burmester 4D surround sound system, 56-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, Nappa leather seats, powered curtains, active ambient lighting, infotainment controls, two individual panoramic sunroofs, and more. The new all-electric Maybach also houses a refrigerator with champagne flute glasses and entertainment screens at the rear.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 Safety Features
For safety, the luxury electric SUV is packed with a range of premium features, namely, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), traction control, EBD, ABS, and 11 airbags. It also houses level 2 ADAS features like blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 Powertrain
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS electric SUV is being offered in a single 680 trim. It houses a 107.8 kWh battery setup that is paired with twin electric motors. The battery set and e-motor generate a combined power output of 649 bhp and a peak torque of 950 Nm. Featuring a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, the new Maybach EQS can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. The SUV has a top speed of 210 km/h.
On a single charge, the electric SUV provides a WLTP-certified range of 611 km. The battery set can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 31 minutes via a fast charger. The Mercedes-Maybach EQS measures 5125 mm in length, 1721 mm in height, and 2034 mm in width.
