JSW MG Motor India has rolled out the 2025 MG Comet EV with a range of updated features. The all-new MG Comet EV price in India starts at INR 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested buyers can now reserve the MG Comet EV 2025 by paying a token amount of INR 11,000 and by visiting their nearest MG dealerships across India. The auto giant is expected to start the delivery process in the coming days.
With the updated MG Comet EV, MG Motor is offering the Battery-as-a-Service option for customers at INR 2.5 per kilometer. By introducing this battery subscription plan, the company has reduced the cost of the Comet EV. In place of purchasing the battery, buyers can now only pay a usage fee. The MG Comet EV 2025 is available in five trims: Excite, Executive, Exclusive, Excite Fast Charge (FC), and Exclusive FC.
MG Comet EV 2025 Updates
The MG Comet Excite FC and Excite trims are now being offered with additional features like power-folding ORVMs and a rear parking camera. On the other hand, the Exclusive FV and Exclusive MG Comet EV variants are now packed with a 4-speaker audio system and leatherette seats. In addition, the MG Comet FC trim comes equipped with a 17.4 kWh battery set that offers a range of 230 km on one charge.

2025 MG Comet EV Features
In terms of features, the MG Comet EV is loaded with a range of amenities, including dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, speed-sensing auto lock, an electronic parking brake, a reverse parking camera, follow-me-home headlamps, and more.
2025 MG Comet EV Powertrain
Under the hood, the new MG Comet electric car draws power from a 17.3 kWh battery set paired with an electric motor that is tuned to churn out horsepower of 42 hp and peak torque of 110 Nm. The IP67-rated battery provides an ARAI-certified range of around 230 km.
2025 MG Comet EV Shield Program
The newly launched 2025 MG Comet EV comes with a free MG e-Shield plan that includes benefits like 3 years of Roadside Assistance (RSA) and a warranty of up to 3 years or 1 lakh km. In addition, the battery pack is loaded with an 8-year or 1.2 lakh km warranty.
MG Motor India recently launched the Blackstorm edition of the Comet at a starting price of INR 7.80 lakh. With the launch of new models, JSW MG Motor India aims to strengthen its position as a leading electric car manufacturer in the Indian market.
