MV Agusta has at last revealed its LXP Orioli adventure tourer at the event of EICMA 2023. And, the manufacturer has kept the production to a limited of only 500 units. This bike is developed as a tribute to Italian motorcycling legend and 4 times Dakar winner Edi Orioli. The brand-new 931 cc, 3-cylinder machine gets inspiration directly from the Cagiva Elefant Orioli which achieved victory in 1990. Cagiva Elefant Orioli is anticipated to be the role model for a variety of adventure bikes from the Italian manufacturer. After KTM gained complete control over MV Agusta, the LXP Orioli bike is getting developed in a completely refreshed and revised version. And the original name as the Lucky Explorer originally contemplated for the Italian brand’s variety of adventure bikes is long gone.
Powered by a 931 cc DOHC engine with a 81 81 mm bore and 60.2 mm stroke churns out a 122 bhp at 10,000 rpm and peak torque of 102 Nm at 7,000 rpm with 85% torque directly available from the 3,000 rpm. The engine boasts DLC coated cams, a hydraulic clutch for controlled lightweight applications, a counter-rotating crank to aid cornering stability, and countershafts. The engine is installed on an alloy perimeter frame with removal sub-frame couple to an aluminium alloy swingarm. Along with that, the bike has Sachs's suspension, a fully-adjustable 48 mm upside-down forks with 210 mm travel and a monoshock at the rear that offers 210 mm travel. Both suspension in the front and rear are completely adjustable.

Bridgestone Battleax AX41 tubeless tires are shod on spoked wheels measuring 21 inches up front and 18 inches down the back of the MV Agusta LXP Orioli. Brembo is in charge of the braking; Stylema four-piston calipers up front grip 320 mm discs, while a two-piston caliper in back grips a 265 mm single disc. In addition to real wheel lift-up mitigation, cornering ABS comes standard.
A six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) that provides four distinct riding modes—Urban, Touring, Off-Road, and Custom All-Terrain—supports the electronics of the LXP Orioli. Five levels of traction control are available: two for on-road use, two for off-road use, and one for rainy conditions. There are two levels of selectable engine braking action. A 7-inch color TFT dash controls all the electronics, and the Mobisat geolocation anti-theft system and navigation system are available through the MV Agusta's Ride App. Included is cruise control.
The MV Agusta LXP Orioli is a limited-edition model, so expect it to be pricey. Orioli signs each bike as it leaves the factory, along with an authenticity certificate.
