Nissan India has marked a new milestone in the country by selling one lakh units of its Magnite SUV since its launch. The Japanese car manufacturer first launched the Magnite in India in 2020. It was unveiled at a starting price of INR 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Currently, it is listed at an initial cost of INR 6 lakh (ex-showroom). Recently, the brand has also launched the ‘Nissan One’ web platform to celebrate this significant milestone achieved by the SUV. The sub-four metre compact SUV has marked this new milestone in a segment that is considered one of the most competitive categories in the Indian PV market.

The Nissan Magnite SUV gives tough competition to the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon, among others. This SUV has played a key role in keeping the company’s business running in India. As of now, Nissan only sells the Magnite model in the Indian market. The brand also exports this SUV to other overseas markets as well.

Nissan claims that under the newly introduced ‘Nissan One’ web platform, current and new customers can benefit from a range of services, including booking vehicles, making test drive requests, referral programs, real-time service requests and bookings, and more. The platform also offers a referral program for customers.

The Director of Marketing, Product, and Customer Experience at Nissan Motor India, Mohan Wilson, spoke about the introduction of the ‘Nissan One’ platform and said, "It offers information, customizations to cater to specific needs of all buyers, potential and existing. The refer and earn Program, first of its kind in the industry, is the brand’s way of rewarding our buyers and showing gratitude for their faith in Nissan."

Nissan launched the Magnite AMT in India last year. The car is powered by a 1.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The unit is mated to a five-speed automated manual transmission.
