The leading bike manufacturer, Revolt Motors, has rolled out a new product in the Indian market after a long time. The brand has launched the RV1 commuter electric bike in India at a starting price of INR 84,990 (ex-showroom). Revolt is the first two-wheeler giant to launch an electric motorcycle in India in the form of the RV300. The company later also launched the Revolt RV400 and the RV400 BRZ models in the country.
Revolt India is offering the RV1 commuter electric bike in two variants: RV1 and RV1 Plus. The RV1 electric model is priced at INR 84,990 (ex-showroom), while the RV1 Plus version is available at a price of INR 99,990 (ex-showroom). Bookings for the new Revolt RV1 are currently open for a token amount of INR 499.
Revolt RV1 Electric Bike: Features
The Revolt RV1 receives a similar design to the current RV400. However, the new bike does get a different front end. The new RV1 electric bike comes equipped with fast charging provision, an LCD display, a reverse mode, a circular LED headlight, built-in charger storage, and telescopic forks at both ends, giving it a commuter-like appearance. It rolls on alloy wheels and features a rear and front disc brake setup.
Revolt RV1 Electric Bike: Powertrain
The RV1 electric bike draws power from a 3.24kWh battery or a 2.2kWh battery. Both batteries are removable and are IP67-rated for water resistance. The RV1 and RV1 Plus variants come equipped with the same 2.8 kW electric motor. The 2.2kWh battery provides a certified range of 100 km, and it can be charged from 0 to 80% in 2 hours 15 minutes, whereas the larger 3.24kWh battery unit takes 3 hours 30 minutes and is said to offer 160 km. The new electric bike has a top speed of 70 kmph. The charging time for both variants differs since they feature different battery capacities.
