Skoda Auto has confirmed that the much-awaited Kylaq subcompact SUV will be launched in the Indian market sometime in 2025. The production-spec Kylaq will make its global debut on November 6, 2024. Based on the MQB-A0-IN platform, the Skoda Kylaq is going to be the first sub-4 metre SUV from the company. It is expected to be priced around INR 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

Talking about exterior features, the Czech brand is expected to offer the Kylaq compact SUV with a range of features like sleek LED DRLs, traditional Skoda butterfly grille, roof rails, split headlamp setup, a set of fresh bumpers, wraparound LED tail lights, and shark-fin antenna.

Inside the cabin, the sub-4 metre SUV is likely to receive amenities like an electric sunroof, wireless mobile connectivity, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, leatherette seats, a virtual cockpit, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, and more.

For safety, the upcoming Kylaq sub-4 metre SUV could feature six airbags, rear parking sensors with cameras, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and electronic stability control.

The Skoda Kylaq is expected to come equipped with the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, TSI turbo-petrol engine that churns out power of 114 bhp and torque of 178 Nm. The unit is paired with six-speed torque converter automatic and manual units.

After its official launch in the market, the Skoda Kylaq compact SUV will rival the likes of the Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet, and the Nissan Magnite.
