Triumph Motorcycles revealed the design prototype of Trident at the London Design Museum in August 2020. The concept that was showcased was fully white in colour. Recently, the company revealed the upcoming motorcycle in its camouflaged form. This further confirms that the motorcycle’s testing has entered its final phase. The motorcycle has now been spotted near to Triumph’s global headquarters at Hinckley in the UK.
The Triumph product team has fine-tuned the characteristics of the new Trident. All this while in the final testing stage, the team made sure that the Trident becomes the first choice of the new generation of Triumph riders. Due to heavy camouflage, we can hardly make out the design details. However, there are a couple of things that we could gather for example its mirrors, brakes, complete exhaust system, swingarm-mounted hugger for the number plate & blinkers, and LED headlight.
Mechanically, the new Triumph Trident will get a three-cylinder engine. The specifications have not been revealed yet. According to British manufacturer, the engine specification will set the new Trident apart from its competitors as this will be the first triple-cylinder motorcycle in the segment. We can expect that this engine will be based on the 660cc engine from the 2020 Street Triple S.
According to the company, the bike will be launched early next year. However, we can expect it to be unveiled later this year as the motorcycle has already reached its final testing phase. Also, Triumph Trident will be manufactured in Thailand. The motorcycle will likely be launched in India after the global launch event. In India, we can expect the motorcycle to fall in the price bracket of Rs 6.5 lakhs - Rs 7 lakhs (ex-showroom).
