TVS Motor Company has launched the Scooty Pep+ 'Mudhal Kadhal' limited edition at a starting price of Rs 56,085 (Ex. Showroom, Chennai). The 'Mudhal Kadhal' edition has been introduced exclusively for the people in Tamil Nadu ahead of the Pongal celebration. The four day fest in the Southern state of Tamil Nadu falls between January 14-17, 2021. For those asking, the term 'Mudhal Kadhal' means First Love in Tamil language and it reflects the strong bond between the brand and the Tamil people.
TVS Scooty Pep+ 'Mudhal Kadhal' edition flaunts “Mudhal Kadhal” lettering in Tamil on the side panels, which is a first-in-industry. The scooter comes finished in a color combination of brown, grey, and black with the seat presented in dual tone color scheme with white stitching. Some of the features include black alloy wheels, tubeless tyres and self start. It has been equipped with drum brakes at both front and rear while getting the telescopic front suspension as standard. Weighing merely 93 kgs, TVS Scooty Pep+ is one of the most economical scooters available in the Indian market currently.
Mechanically, Scooty Pep+ Mudhal Kadhal edition is powered by the same BS6 compliant 87.8 cc single-cylinder petrol engine with ET-Fi Ecothrust technology. The engine develops a top power of 5.3bhp at 6500rpm and peak torque of 6.5Nm at 3500rpm. With the introduction of ET-Fi Ecothrust technology, the scooter has become 15 percent more efficient in terms of performance and mileage. Furthermore, it also features ‘Eazy’ Stand technology of TVS which helps in reducing the effort of putting the centre stand by 30 percent.
