At the time of launch, Maruti Suzuki didn't announce any CNG variant for the new generation Ertiga. The factory fitted CNG version of the Ertiga will be launched sometime in 2019. However, the new Ertiga can be fitted with a CNG kit at dealer level. Maruti is offering a sequential CNG kit as an optional accessory with the petrol powered Ertiga.
The CNG kit fitted at dealer-level has a capacity of 14 kgs, which is the same as the last generation Ertiga. Priced at Rs. 65,000/-, the CNG kit will be available with a one year warranty from the dealer. This will help the buyers run on the more affordable fuel until the factory fitted version arrives next year.
The new generation Maruti Ertiga is availabl with both petrol and diesel engine options. It is the same 1.5-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine options carried over from the new Ciaz. Both the engines are available with SHVS mild hybrid technology to boost the fuel efficiency. The 2019 Maruti Ertiga is bigger in size compared to the outgoing model and competes with the Mahindra Marazzo and Honda BR-V in the Indian market.
