The luxury automaker Kia is all set to launch the new Carnival MPV in India on October 3, 2024. Ahead of the official launch in the market, select Kia dealerships have started accepting bookings for the upcoming Carnival MPV. Kia will reveal the car’s price next month, and it will initially be retailed as a completely built-up unit (CBU). Aside from the Carnival, the Korean auto giant will also roll out the EV9, its all-electric three-row SUV, in the domestic market in the coming months.
As of now, Kia has not officially announced bookings for the upcoming MPV yet. However, a few Kia dealers have begun the booking process on their own. Interested buyers can book the Kia Carnival by paying simply a token amount of INR 1 lakh. The auto giant is expected to offer the Carnival MPV in a single top-spec version. The MPV is likely to be offered in multiple color options. Recently, the new Carnival test mule was spotted at Delhi Airport.

The upcoming Kia Carnival version is expected to come equipped with a range of advanced features, namely,
Dual 12.3-inch Displays Ambient Lighting
Front and Rear Dash Cams LED Lighting
Advanced Digital Key Panoramic Sunroof
Electric Rear Door Captain Seats
Digital Rear-View Mirror Head-Up Display
Kia offers the Carnival MPV with a 3.5-litre hybrid V6 or a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine in global markets. However, for the Indian market, the new Kia Carnival is likely to feature the same 2.2-litre diesel engine that is also equipped in the current Kia models. The unit is mated to an 8-speed AT gearbox option. It can churn out power of 191 bhp and peak torque of 441 Nm.
Since this MPV is going to be a CBU unit, it is expected to be priced a bit higher than current models. The Kia Carnival price is expected to be around INR 45 lakh to INR 50 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, the upcoming luxurious MPV will have no direct rivals, and it will be positioned between the Toyota Innova Hycross (priced at INR 30 lakh) and the Toyota Vellfire (priced at INR 1.22 crore).
