Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) said that the company has now officially sold over 35 million units. The manufacturer said it crossed the 35 million production mark in 17 years, which is the fastest by any two-wheeler manufacturer in India. The two-wheeler that crossed Activa 4G at its second plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan.
Minoru Kato, President and CEO, HMSI said, “Thanks to great support from customers in both India and 68 countries across the world, Honda 2Wheelers India is celebrating our 35 millionth two-wheeler landmark today. Taking forward this love and trust, we at Honda are committed to provide quality products and experiences that make customers’ lives more enjoyable.”
In the last five and a half years, the company has added 25 million new customers. Fuelling this growth is its popular Honda Activa, which is the highest selling two-wheeler in India. At the Auto Expo 2018, Honda launched the Activa 5G, and it will go on sale soon.
