A few Suzuki dealerships have started displaying the new scooter and some are also accepting bookings for Rs 5,000. Dealers are promising delivery by end of July or early August.
For now, there is no confirmation on the price, but we expect it to be in the range of Rs 67,000 and Rs 72,000 (ex-showroom). The scooter was first shown at the 2018 Auto Expo earlier this year and will be officially launched on July 19.
This will be the first made-in-India Suzuki scooter to feature an LED headlight and an all-digital instrument console. You also get a multi-function key slot, generous underseat storage, a 12V charging socket (likely to be an optional extra), cubbyhole below the handlebar and an LED tail-lamp.
The scooter is powered by an Access 125-sourced 124.3cc motor that makes 8.6hp and 10.2Nm. The bike also shares parts with its 125cc sibling. The Burgman has a disc brake unit at the front and a drum unit at the rear, and CBS is standard.
