For several years, BMW Motorrad has been selling bikes through importers. Now, it has finally started operations as a part of BMW India.
The motorcycle manufacturer has already begun setting up dealerships and service centres - the first phase will see four dealerships, one each in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Pune. BMW Motorrad will offer its complete range - from the R 1200 series to the S 1000 series and the R nineT series. All its bikes will make their way here as CBUs.
Sadly, the eagerly-awaited G 310 R will not debut with the rest of the range. This bike is expected to make its way here this year, but BMW is isn’t revealing any details about the launch of its first small-capacity motorcycle.
