There is now a slew of manufacturers that are working on electric bikes, the likes which include Tork Electric and Ather Energy. Emflux is also working on a bike and the Bengaluru-based company will take the wraps of its first e-sportsbike at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The bike claims to be able to hit 100kph in 3sec flat and hit a top speed of 200kph. The bike will be powered by a liquid-cooled AC Induction motor that puts out 68hp and 84Nm. The bike is capable of covering 200km on a full charge. The company also claims it can quick charge the bike in as little as 36 minutes. A standard wall charger will take three hours.
The bike will be fitted with a 7” TFT display and will also feature GPS navigation, real-time vehicle diagnostics and auto updates. You can also access data about the bike on an app.
Once the company shows its bike at the Auto Expo, it will begin accepting orders. However, the deliveries will be in the first quarter of 2019. The company will start with a limited run of 199 units, and is looking at pricing it between ₹5-6 lakh. Purchases can be made through the company’s website through digital payment methods.
