The latest in the bike maker’s line-up to be updated for 2018 is the Softail series. The company’s strategy to make its bikes better and more appealing. In lieu of this, it has increased power, made cornering clearances higher, and has worked on improving handling – areas where Harley did fall short in the past.
The bikes sold in India include the 2017 Street Bob, Fat Bob, Fat Boy and Heritage Classic. The 2018 Fat Bob will see the most drastic styling changes – it will wear a more muscular, sporty sort of appearance. The updated bike features a more futuristic, rectangular headlight and the tail-section is shorter, chunkier, and has been raised to look more aggressive. There are new contoured, bronze-coloured bend-pipes that lead to a new up-swept, performance dual-exhaust setup as well. The Softails will also feature Harley-Davidson’s new, more powerful and cooler-running Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine.
While the 2018 Softail sells in the USA, so far, there has been no information on when the model range will make its way to our shores.
