The company launched a new variant, called the KRT Edition, of its updated Ninja 650 in India. KRT stands for Kawasaki Racing Team, and the new variant is purely a cosmetic update. It features two new decals, a prominent ‘650’ in yellow on the flanks and a Kawasaki Racing Team decal on the underbelly fairing.
The bike is powered by a 649cc fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor that produces 67.3hp and 65.7Nm. It comes with a 15-litre fuel tank and weighs 196kg. Kawasaki will sell the Ninja 650 KRT Edition alongside the existing model.
The KRT version is priced at ₹5.49 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), which is ₹16,000 more than the standard version.
