The Ninja 400, which was revealed at the Tokyo motor show, will replace the Ninja 300 in international markets. It will be the new entry point to the Kawasaki range - the new motorcycle is more powerful, lighter and Euro-IV compliant.

The bike is powered by an all-new 399cc parallel-twin engine that makes 45hp and 38Nm. The company claims that while performance has improved, the bike still retains its rider-friendly nature. Kawasaki also says the ‘large-volume bodywork’ offers greater wind protection, and the bike even features Ninja H2 inspired ‘chin-spoilers’ below the twin LED headlamps. The instrument cluster has been directly borrowed from the Ninja 650.

There are no details on the launch date just yet, and when the company plans to bring it to India. Recently in India, Kawasaki added the Ninja 300 in BS-IV trim, so you can expect the 400, if it does make it to India, to be priced higher than the Ninja 300’s price of ₹3.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
