This is the company’s first ever 'factory custom' creation and the RVS in the name stands for Reparto Veicoli Speciali, Italian for Special Vehicle Operations.
The division’s goal is to make limited-edition bikes based on models from MV Agusta's line-up. The division will also follow a one bike, one customer approach, essentially making this #1 a hand-built one-off.
There's liberal use of titanium on the fuel tank and the steering head and they’ve used custom-designed parts by CRC such as rearsets, engine protectors, handlebars and dashboard support. There’s a honeycomb pattern on the seat that features an embroidered design of a red-eyed skull that’s hand-stitched.
There are dramatic-looking brake rotors, courtesy of Braking Sunstar's Batfly disc brakes. Mounted on the right side are LED lights on a carbon-fibre support, while the headlamp features an array of LEDs, it features an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) due to which the headlight can automatically illuminate in the direction the bike is turning, based on lean angle and speed.
The bike is powered by a 798cc, three-cylinder motor, which makes 140hp of peak power and 87Nm of torque in its road-legal configuration. However, thanks to the titanium SC Project exhaust that's designed for track use only, power has risen to 150hp. The bike is lighter by 8kg thanks to the exhaust as well.
The best way to get your hands on an RVS creation is to contact MV Agusta and tell them that you’re interested, provided you can afford one.
