McLaren’s new sport pack features stiffer springs, quicker steering, new uprights and actuators, and the stability control settings from the 570S. The Car’s Steering and damper software will also be available on this pack.
The car is fitted with hybrid road/track Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres in place of the usual P Zeroes. The 570GT features carbon ceramic brakes as standard, and the springs are 15 percent stiffer at the front, 10 percent stiffer at the rear and steering that’s 2 percent quicker. McLaren has made this move based on feedback and hopes to offer performance and practicality in the same package.
In the UK, roughly 60 percent of 570GT customers will choose the Sport Pack. Since the 570GT is around 80 percent of the 570 coupé sales in the UK, this means at least half of 570 coupés will be GTs once bought with this pack.
