After the amendment of safety norms by the Indian government, all the manufacturers are updating their product line up. The manufacturers will not be able to sell their cars without complying with the new safety norms. So, this time it’s the Korean manufacturer, Hyundai, which has updated the Grand i10 with ABS and airbags.
The Hyundai Grand i10 is available in four variants – Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta. All the three variants now come with ABS and dual front airbags as standard. Moreover, the Sportz trim gets many other features like rear parking sensors and camera, front fog lamps and impact sensing auto door unlock feature.
The Grand i10 is available in two engine options – a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces an output of 82 HP and 114 Nm of torque or a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder diesel unit that churns out 74 HP and 190 Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, but there is an option o af 4-speed automatic on the petrol version.
