The Vulcan S was earlier only available in a matte-black shade, but Kawasaki has now introduced a 'pearl lava orange' paint scheme for the bike in India. The Vulcan S is a fairly beefy looking cruiser and it comes fitted with a tall handlebar, a digi-analogue instrument pod, five-spoke alloy wheels, and a plush split-seat set-up. It comes with a 120/70 R18 tyre up front and a 160/60 R17 tyre at the rear.
The bike is powered by a 649cc, fuel-injected, parallel-twin motor, mated to a six-speed transmission. The engine makes 61hp and 63Nm and the bike weighs 235kg. You get ABS as standard and the brakes are a dual-piston 300mm disc brake up front and a single-piston, 250mm disc at the rear.
The Vulcan S in pearl lava orange costs Rs 5.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is Rs 10,000 more than the matte-black version.
