Japanese bikemaker, Suzuki has launched its 2018 Hayabusa in India. For 2018, the bike gets two new colour schemes – red/white and red/black. The new red/black colour scheme replaces the older model’s all-black colour. The manufacturer has said that it will display the bike in both its new colours at the Auto Expo 2018.
Back in March 2016, Suzuki began selling the superbike in CKD form. The India-assembly considerably reduced the price of the Busa and this resulted to a 100 percent growth in sales. The Hayabusa is put together at Suzuki India’s factory in Gurgaon.
Powering this bike is a 1,340cc, inline-four cylinder motor producing 199.7hp and 155Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox. In terms of competition, the Busa rivals the Kawasaki ZX-14R in India; however, the Suzuki is priced considerably cheaper.
