The company has finally launched its new Apache RR 310 at ₹2.05 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike shares its engine with BMW’s G 310 R – it’s a 312.2cc, single-cylinder, DOHC motor that makes 34hp and 27.3Nm, and is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The bike is fitted with a bi-LED projector headlight in the front fairing which gets a blacked-out beak. At the front, there’s also tricolour detailing and TVS claims the overall design of the bike has undergone 300 hours of wind tunnel testing.
The bike is fitted with dual-channel ABS as standard and the bike’s 17-inch front and rear wheels are fitted with 110/70 and 150/60 Michelin Pilot Street tyres. The bike’s instrument cluster also shows average speed, 0-60kph timings and there’s even a Lap Timer mode that can be toggled on the move.
The new TVS will take on KTM’s RC 390 (₹2.61 lakh, on-road, Delhi).
