Iconic motorcycle designer Massimo Tamburini’s final creation, the T12 Massimo, will soon go into
production and only 12 units will be made. Each bike costs USD 1 million (Rs 6.6 crore), so they are the
most expensive motorcycles to ever go on sale. Tamburini is regarded by many experts as the greatest
motorcycle designer ever, in fact, some even refer to him as the “Michelangelo of motorcycles”. The
Ducati 916 and the MV Agusta F4 are projects that he was chief designer on. In 2012, he started working
on a new project that wouldn’t be restricted by any emission norms or government policies – this bike
would eventually become the Tamburini T12 Massimo (T stands for Tamburini, 12 was his lucky number
and "Massimo" in Italian also means “maximum”). The motorcycle is powered by a 230hp in-line- four
motor sourced from the BMW S1000RR SBK, handpicked by Tamburini.
