Aspire, a sub 4-metre compact sedan from Ford will be launched on October 4 with a facelifted avatar. The Ford Aspire Facelift will get several cosmetic changes along with a new petrol engine. In the interior, the dashboard will be similar to what is present in the present Freestyle. The SYNC infotainment system will be updated to SYNC3 touchscreen system. There might be an upholstery change but black and beige dual-tone theme will be retained.
On the exterior, it is the front which gets much chrome treatment. The new mesh grill is surrounded by chrome along with fog lamp housing. The new rear bumper with air vents gives a sportier appeal to the car. However, the rear and the side silhouette of the car remains the same.
The 2018 Ford Aspire will get an all-new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine which produces an output of 94.7 HP and a peak torque of 120 Nm. This is the same engine in the newly launched Freestyle. But the diesel engine will be the same old 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine giving an output of 98.6 HP and 215 Nm of torque. Both the engines will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox. We might see the Ford Aspire EV in the near future which is been jointly developed by Ford and Mahindra.
