Nissan Motor India is undergoing a crucial change of guard, with Ankush Arora stepping in as the new president replacing Guillaume Sicard. Arora has worked for more than two decades in various fields of the auto industry. Sicard will now be appointed as vice-president (sales & marketing) at Renault Asia Pacific.

Arora worked at General Motors for 17 years before he made his way to Tata Motors. He quit working at Tata while he was its senior vice-president (passenger vehicle business unit) in May 2014 to join the Mansour Group of Egypt as CEO of its private equity arm, operating out of Cairo and Dubai. The Mansour Group has business interests in automotive, capital markets, consumer and retail, industrial equipment and services sectors. Sicard was initially Nissan’s deputy president in India since July 2014, until he was appointed president on October 1, 2014. He ably handled company fronts such as operations and manufacturing, at the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant in Chennai.
