The Shiver and Dorsoduro come with a new, larger V-twin motor and a more comprehensive electronics package. The Shiver 900 is a nimble roadster while the Dorsoduro 900 is a bulkier bike for touring. These bikes debuted internationally earlier this year and this will mark the introduction of the Shiver range in India. The larger Dorsoduro 1200 has been on sale for a while here.
These Aprilias feature a new 896cc, V-twin motor capable of putting out peak power of 95.2hp at 8,750rpm, and peak torque of 90Nm at 6,500rpm. Both bikes will feature an enhanced electronics package - there’s switchable traction control, but the Shiver only features an on-off option, while the Dorsoduro has a three-way traction control settings. Both bikes feature three riding modes – sport, touring and rain – which alter the way power is delivered and affects throttle responses. There’s a full-colour 4.3” TFT display as well; it gets Bluetooth connectivity, can control multimedia, and features a trip computer that is controlled through buttons on the handlebar.
