BMW showcased the sporty, stylish gran coupe 8-series at Geneva. This new 4-door concept will be the company’s flagship model and will go on sale from the second half of 2019. Called the M8 Gran Coupe, it is the manufacturer’s four door option to the current two-door 8-series.
The New BMW aims at targeting premium cars like the DB11 from Aston Martin and the Continental GT from Bentley. The debut of the concept M8 Gran Coupe follows the reveal of the 8-series Coupe concept. All three versions of the upcoming 8-series will be sold with a number of optional petrol engine options – this includes a turbo 3.0-litre six-cylinder, a turbo 4.4-litre V8 and a twin-turbo 6.6-litre V12 option.
In terms of design, the car uses an aggressive front end with sharp-looking front bumper with three large air ducts. Another prominent design feature is the large front grille, angular headlights and distinctive LED graphics. Towards the rear, the car uses a sporty-looking bumper with four exhaust tips; this will be seen on the performance-oriented M8 version of the car.
